Shower heads - Hand held high pressure and low flow shower heads
Changing Your Shower into a Rain Shower or Hand Held Shower
Changing a shower head is one of the most simple DIY projects available to you in your bathroom - and one that can make a HUGE difference in how much you enjoy using your shower. Using an old shower head can restrict the flow of water and also may not let you control whether or not you have a high or low pressure shower - and while I don't like a high pressure shower head (I prefer a relaxing shower), its good to have the option if that's your preference.
Personally, I've always loved the idea of having a rain shower head with a nice hand held shower head attachment - I love pretending that I'm actually outside in the rain (except that it's raining hot water and I'm in the privacy of my own bathroom!). But the house my husband and I just moved into had an old showerhead left over from the previous owners, who probably had the shower installed at about the time plumbing was invented.
After days of bugging my husband to get around to changing it, I decided to take on the project myself. With the help of the YouTube video below, it actually turned out to be ridiculously easy! I visited the place we'd purchased our bathroom vanity, a great website called ModernBathroom.com, and looked through their Shop large collection of shower heads at ModernBathroom.com to find one that was exactly what I wanted. Then I just followed the simple steps in the video below, and in about 10 minutes I was having a beautiful rain shower, just like I'd been dreaming of!
Check out the video yourself, and I'm sure you'll be inspired to change your own showerhead!
Are you tired of your ancient shower? Why not give it a twist and change your shower head and give you the satisfaction when you are taking a bath. I am not a morning person, I swear to God. I usually sleep late in the evening so waking up early in the morning the next day is like a punishment for me. If only i have the power to select my duty, I would choose night shifts in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I am just an employee in this doggy dog world so I need to adjust to my work. So what I usually do early in the morning to wake myself up is to drink a cup of coffee and take a good bath. Taking a good bath relaxes my whole being at the same time giving me that adrenaline kick to make me feel alive. Making a cup of coffee is just a piece of cake but having a good bath is a different topic. Changing the showerhead did the trick for me and maybe it can also change your life too, not exactly the same with mine nonetheless a good jumpstart from your old routine.
There are many kinds of showerheads available in the market. I only chose the top three shower heads that I like so far.
1. Rain Shower Head – This is what most people adore. Who does not want to take a bath under the rain? The gentle feeling of the rain drops on your body is breathtaking. It makes your body loosen up after a long tiring day.
2. Hand Held Shower Head – My favorite of all. A convenient kind of shower head because you have the freedom to point the shower head in any part of your body. The only downside in this kind of shower head is that when you are tired of holding it, you cannot have a decent shower because when you put it back to the handle, it will not have a steady direction.
3. Waterfall Shower Head – If you have the goods to purchase this kind of beauty then dare to buy one of this. This is a new experience to your shower experience. It gives you the feeling of being in the forest and taking a bath in a waterfall. Plus, it’s aesthetic design is surely an eye-candy.
For some, the weekend is a time to rest and enjoy the company of friends, however, for most house owners the weekend is for fixing up your house and starting D.I.Y. projects that appear almost endless. If you are a home owner, chances are you probably have attempted being handy so you can prevent the expense of having to pay a specialist the excessively high costs it will cost. But to take on the tiniest of projects by yourself may seem frustrating, so here is a list of what I ordinarily do when plunging right into a new job.
Approach:
You will find it useful to write all of the ideas or thoughts on the way you want the project to develop, get started by finding ideas if it’s a decor job, take pictures, take a look at decorating web sites, mags, ask friends and family. If it’s much harder than just painting a wall and you have to do some electrical work or plumbing and you are also at ease executing it yourself, then you will need to make sure you have got all the gear necessary and that you know precisely what you are doing, because if you mess up you might be in a lot of real danger plus it might cost you more to employ a professional later on to clean up after you. I find an itemized list of tools to be utilized, comes in very handy regardless of severity of the job. You might also need to make a list of worst-case-scenarios, just so you might be prepared. So here it is: having everything you need for your project handy, knowing the way you want the project to develop and being aware what you wish as the end result is really what you want to achieve with the planning.
Issues of safety:
Common sense is a big one here, make sure you know how to make use of the tools properly make certain the place you’re working in is cleared to make sure you don’t trip over anything. Shut off the water source if you are doing any improvements to plumbing and shut down the electricity if the job requires coming in contact with wires. Dress appropriately to do the job and naturally wear shoes or boots that are comfortable with no open toes. When you’ve got small children make sure they are out of the way, so you don’t bump them over or worse, same applies to pets. And have your first aid kit handy in the eventuality of an emergency.
